brrrr....

it was a cold day here in west des moines, and we spent it cozy inside in our pjs. when i checked the outdoor thermometer at 8am it was 34 degrees. brr. jack got to sport some of his NEW fall/winter clothes. it was the first time i've had to shop for clothing for him--ever. baby gifts got us through the first year! but now he's in 18 month clothing, and needed some cold weather clothes, stat. so he toddled around in his footies, helping me drink my hot chocolate, and also helped me with the laundry. such a good boy. it was even cold enough that our kitties cuddled to stay warm (i still refused to turn on the heat in early september. it was 61 in the house-- not unbearable, but chilly for sure).
