so i get the point being made here. and i think there is something to take away from this story. but i'm not 100% convinced. you can bet i'd probably not let my 9-yr-old ride the subway alone in NY. although, i suppose that depends on which line they're taking and where they're getting off.... still, not likely to happen. anyway, this article made me think a little.
