labor...weekend

labor day weekend has not been a weekend "off" for us, but the productivity we've managed to uphold has been really nice. actually, it's sort of been time off since my parents took the boys one morning and mike's parents another. this childfree time allowed us to do some things we've been needing/wanting to do before the arrival of The Little. our deck was in sore need of sealing, since it's been over four months since it was put up and was already starting to grey.

our new dining room set also went from this:

admittedly, it's a bit large for our small dine-in kitchen. but we'll outgrow our house before we're ready to move, so we've started making adjustments. we really liked that the bench on one side of this table fits underneath so that we won't have to use it unless we have company over and need more seating.

i also got all my meals made today for our next meal exchange (in october). i'm trying to work ahead so i have all my ducks in a row before the little one makes his arrival. i still need to pull out small diapers and baby clothes, make room in benjamin's closet for them, and come up with all the homebirth supplies (chux pads, etc.) if all goes according to plan, the birthing tub will be delivered next weekend when i hit 37 weeks. whoo, it's all starting to happen.
